Color correcting is one of makeup’s BEST and often forgotten little tricks. Green cancels red or dull skin. Yellow cancels red & purple hues, which is why under eye concealors are often yellow-toned. Blue cancels orange. Pink brightens yellow, sallow skin, and the list goes on. Bing it!
Clinique’s Redness Solutions pressed mineral powder is fantastic if you’re trying to even out red, inflamed or disturbed skin. Mineral makeup is very soothing to agitated skin anyway, but the bonus here is the yellow tint. This product is great for anyone with rosacea, “fussy,” irritated skin, or like me, if you flush easily and have naturally rosy cheeks, but you want to tone it down a bit. This can be worn on top of foundation or alone.
I like it for no-makeup days. It quiets my complexion and since I have golden-honey undertones, it blends right in and just evens everything out nicely. Redness Solutions is sheer, though, so they say it’s appropriate for all complexions having redness issues.
